Visual Studio Crashes when Opening View Files
People are having problems with Visual Studio crashing when viewing any View file. I have had this problem and it is very annoying. It is a problem introduced in the RC1 release. Presumably it will be fixed in V1.
Potential Solution
In short, uninstall some plugins. At some point early on when playing with RC1 some of my solutions (not all) started crashing when opening a View file. I heard that uninstalling the VS power tools would fix the issue. It did.
Later on I installed Active Reports for .NET and Telerik's reporting package to try them both out. Then Visual Studio began crashing again. Uninstalling both fixed the problem. I then reinstalled the Telerik package and the problem has not occurred since.
So you best bet is to remove Visual Studio addons for the time being. If you need whatever it is that is conflicting with something in Visual Studio, then you may have to edit your View files in something like notepad until a fix is released. I have seen no other recommendation on how to avoid the issue.
